• STEP 1 (BOX DETAILS): Select the wood type (Walnut, Maple, Oak, Mahogany, Cherry or Purpleheart) and how many sides of the box you’d like engraved.

• STEP 2 (ENGRAVING DETAILS): Choose your font style. Enter the names, initials, monogram, or special message you want engraved in the personalization box at checkout. You can also upload an image for us to engrave. If you prefer a plain wooden box without text, simply type "No Engraving."

• STEP 2 (FAST DESIGN MOCKUP): We will send a digital mockup of your engraving via Etsy Messages within 24 hours of purchase.

We are Melissa and Jiun, a Southern California-based couple who hand-cut, engrave, and assemble every single piece in our workshop to order. The word "Wanderweg" translates to "hiking trail" or "path" in German. We got engaged while hiking a “wanderweg” in the Swiss Alps, which inspired us to start crafting travel-friendly, personalized keepsakes for life's biggest milestones. We are deeply honored to play a small part in your path together.

**Please note that each box will be unique and may vary from the photos, as there are natural variations in the wood grain and color. Walnut can vary from a light brown to a dark brown tone and engraves a dark brown. Engravings on Walnut can appear more subtle with a dark brown engraving on dark brown wood. Purpleheart can also appear more subtle with a dark purple engraving on dark purple wood. If you prefer an engraving with contrast we recommend Mahogany as it engraves almost black on a medium tone wood. Cherry and Maple also have good contrast in the engraving and wood tone. Engravings on Oak can appear striped with bands of dark and light engraving as the different gain lines engrave differently.
